Navigate to a cockpit

Whether you’re looking for yesterday’s Food Cost in the Kitchen cockpit or the latest Energy usage in GoGreen, you’ll use the Cockpit to explore performance in PMI.

Here’s a quick guide that works for any department or view.

1. Open the Cockpit

You can get to the cockpit in two ways:

  • From the Home Screen: Click the Cockpit widget to go straight to your last-used view.
  • From the Left Menu: Select Cockpit from the main navigation panel.

2. Choose Your Hotel and Department

In the top-left breadcrumb menu:

  • Click to select the Hotel you’re working with.
  • Then select the Department — grouped under categories like Rooms, Food & Beverage, GoGreen, M&R, etc.

3. Select the View Type (Newer Cockpits)

In newer cockpits like GoGreen, you’ll see:

  • A “Selected cockpit” dropdown to choose what to focus on — e.g., Energy, Water, Waste.
  • A “Category” dropdown for filtering by type — e.g., Electricity, Heating, or All.

These options adapt depending on the department and cockpit type.

4.  For legacy Food Cost views

If you’re viewing a legacy Food Cost cockpit (e.g., in Kitchen):

You’ll see radio buttons below the breadcrumb to switch between:

  • Labor
  • Food Cost
  • Food Waste

Select the one that matches what you’re analyzing.

5.  Explore the Data

Once you’re in the correct cockpit view:

  • Review charts, KPIs, and performance summaries.
  • Click on elements (like bars or dots) to drill down into details.
  • Hover over graphs for tooltips or comparisons.

Always check the top of the screen — the breadcrumb + selector combo tells you exactly where you are and lets you switch context quickly.
