Purpose

The Import status page in PMI provides an overview of data imports across properties and interfaces. It helps users monitor whether data has been successfully imported into PMI and identify imports that may require attention.

The page provides clear import statuses, expected import times, and access to the latest imported data, helping users identify and follow up on delayed, missing, or incomplete imports.

User roles and responsibilities

  • Heads of department (HODs) monitor that data relevant to their department, such as labor hours or revenue, has been successfully imported into PMI. They are responsible for following up when data is missing, delayed, or incorrect.
  • General managers oversee data import performance across departments and properties they are responsible for. They ensure imports are running smoothly and that issues are identified and followed up appropriately.

What you can do in Import status

Using Import status, users can:

  • View the current status of imports for selected properties and interfaces
  • Monitor imports that are waiting for data, in progress, completed, or require attention.
  • View expected arrival times and the latest successful import
  • Access Import help for troubleshooting guidance
  • Review the latest imported data.
  • Reload supported API imports directly from the page
  • Filter, sort, and export import information

Import statuses

Imports can display different statuses depending on the current state of the data import process.

Common statuses include:

  • Import complete – The expected data has been successfully imported into PMI.
  • In progress – The import has been received and is currently being processed.
  • Waiting for data – PMI is waiting for the expected import to arrive. This status is displayed before the expected import time has been reached.
  • Outstanding import – No import has been received when it was expected.
  • Incomplete import – The import was received successfully, but some of the expected data is missing.
  • Import failed – format issue – The import could not be processed because the source file contains an invalid format.
  • Missing from source file – The property is not included in the source file that was received, so no data could be imported for that property.
  • No data received – The issue is currently being investigated by d2o Support.
  • Partial update – Some of the data that falls in a locked period was not updated in PMI.  This is indicated with a lock in the PL column  (Only for properties with GoGreen and Full lock activated) For more information see How to manage GoGreen Period locking

Import information

Some statuses include additional information to help explain why an import requires attention.

Where available, Import information provides guidance on the issue and suggested next steps. Depending on the interface, it may also include links or contact information to help resolve the problem.

View last imported data

The View last imported data option allows you to review the most recently imported data for an interface.

This can help verify that the expected data was received and imported correctly into PMI.

Expected data import

The Expected data import column displays the expected date and time of the next import for each interface.

This helps you determine whether an import is still expected or whether it may require investigation if the expected time has passed.

Imported data

Users can review imported data directly from the Import status page to verify what data was received and how it appears in PMI.

Common use cases

  • A front office manager checks if today’s revenue file has been successfully imported for planning purposes.
  • A housekeeping manager notices that labor hours have not been updated and uses the help icon to find next steps.
  • A general manager exports the status overview for their entire hotel group to review missing data before a performance meeting.
