A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is a type of performance measurement. In PMI, icons are used to show how specific indicators compare to Forecast, Budget, or Last year.

KPI comparison: MTD vs Month-end

PI comparisons can be viewed using either Month-to-date (MTD) or Month-end (ME) values.

Select the KPI MTD / ME header to toggle between the two views. The KPI indicators update immediately to reflect the selected comparison.

When the comparison changes on the revenue KPIs, the hours KPIs automatically update to use the same comparison, keeping both sections aligned and easier to interpret.

Understanding KPI symbols

The symbols next to each KPI provide a quick visual indication of performance.

Each symbol combines color and arrow direction to show how the KPI compares to the selected target and to last year.

  • The arrow direction shows the trend compared to last year.
    • Arrow up indicates the KPI is performing better than last year.
    • Arrow down indicates the KPI is performing worse than last year.
  • The color of the symbol shows how the KPI compares to the selected target, such as Forecast, Budget, or Last year.

Use the legend below to interpret the KPI icons.
