The enhancements to the user administration module in PMI are designed to make editing user permissions and access easier. The changes are in 3 areas of the user administration module: 

User list  

  1. Small changes to the design and style of tooltips 
  2. Option to filter by role. Select a role from the dropdown to view only the users assigned that role. If on chain level, this will display all users with selected role across all properties in chain.  
  3. Trash can icon on the user role now gives 2 options: Delete user or Deactivate user.
    1. Deactivate is used if user does not need access now, but you may need to reinstate the user at a later date without losing any of its history.
    2. Delete will permanently delete the user from PMI. This cannot be undone. 

Add user flow

  1. “View PMI” is a role option at chain level. Previously, this was only available at property level.
  2. GM position can be assigned to user in Step 1 of add user. Previously this was only possible by editing an existing user.
  3. In final step, there is an option to send activation email to user or not. You can also select to bcc the user administrator into the email. This is added so the administrator can verify whether the email arrived.
  4. If you have created a user with a future valid from date, the email should arrive on the valid from date.

Edit user flow

  1. Options to add access to additional properties or groups.
  2. Option to delete group access.
  3. Option to give chain access.
  4. This will replace any individual property/group access.
