Import status overview

Purpose

The Import status page in PMI helps hotel managers and department heads easily monitor whether key data files have been successfully imported. This ensures users are working with the most up-to-date information and can quickly identify and respond to any issues with missing or delayed data.

By making the import process more transparent, the Import status feature reduces downtime, supports operational accuracy, and helps users know exactly what action (if any) is needed when something goes wrong.

Key capabilities

  • View the current status of all data imports across your property or group.
  • See whether data has been successfully imported, is delayed, or needs attention.
  • Reload API-based imports directly from the page when needed.
  • Access guidance through “Import help” if data is missing or incorrect.
  • View previous imports, including timestamped versions from earlier in the day.
  • Export data to Excel for documentation or follow-up.
  • Sort and filter by property, interface, or import status.

User roles and responsibilities

  • Heads of department (HODs): Monitor that data relevant to their department (e.g., labor hours, revenue) has been successfully imported. Take action if something is missing or incorrect.
  • General managers: Oversee data import performance across all departments and properties they are responsible for, ensuring imports are running smoothly and issues are followed up.

Common use cases

  • A front office manager checks if today’s revenue file has been successfully imported for planning purposes.
  • A housekeeping manager notices that labour hours haven’t been updated and uses the help icon to find next steps.
  • A general manager exports the status overview for their entire hotel group to review missing data before a performance meeting.
