The new enhancement in the GoGreen module introduces two new cockpits specifically for tracking refrigerant and fuel consumption for company vehicles. This feature provides hotel maintenance engineers and managers with streamlined, easy-to-use tools for monitoring and managing environmental metrics related to fuel and refrigerant use.

Key Benefits

    • Ease of use for maintenance staff: Provides a simplified interface for viewing monthly and annual data, with manual entry options for fuel and refrigerant usage.
    • Compliance and CO2 tracking: Supports CO2 scope definitions, aiding in hotel sustainability initiatives and tracking emissions.
    • Data insights and forecasting: While these cockpits are excluded from regular planning forecasts, predictive features and Goal Distribution Tool logic will fill monthly targets based on historical data if no recent data is recorded.

Key Use Cases

The main use cases center around monthly and yearly data entries for refrigerants and vehicle fuel consumption. The enhancement allows users to:

    • Track and log refrigerant usage, with categories for different refrigerant types.
    • Record fuel consumption, divided into categories like petrol, diesel, and biodiesel.
    • Review entries with a cockpit summary on the GoGreen home page for both refrigerants and fuel.

Usage Instructions

1. Accessing the Cockpits:

a. Users will find two new widgets on the GoGreen home page: one for “Refrigerants” and another for “Fuel for Company Vehicles.”

b. Clicking on either widget opens the specific cockpit page with a similar layout to the other GoGreen resource cockpits.

2. Data entry:

a. Refrigerants: Users can enter data by type (e.g., R134, R404A) in kilograms for monthly/yearly entries.

Fuel: Data for different fuel types (e.g., petrol, biodiesel) can be entered in liters for a consistent format across reports.

The module supports both manual entries and imported values.

3. Viewing and forecasting:

a. A banner message will indicate the last update. The banner will turn red if data is missing for over a year, prompting action.

b. Monthly status indicators and data forecasts follow standard GoGreen cockpit logic but will default to zero where no data is available.

4. Data accuracy and reporting:

a. Prediction models will use historical data when available to populate missing entries.

b. CO2 factors can be added to both refrigerant and fuel data, aligning with sustainability reporting requirements.

c. Key metrics are viewable in a summary table format, similar to other GoGreen cockpits, helping users monitor sustainability goals.

Exclusions and Limitations

    • GoGreen Planning and Index: The new cockpits aren’t part of the GoGreen Index because they focus on annual data and don’t impact daily usage.
    • Forecasting and cost visibility: As these are non-budgeted resources, no consumption forecasts or cost calculations will appear in these cockpits.

Summary

The GoGreen enhancement for refrigerants and fuel for company vehicles provides maintenance teams with accessible, focused tools for tracking environmental impact. With manual and predictive entries, CO2 tracking, and user-friendly cockpit navigation, this enhancement supports both immediate sustainability reporting and long-term environmental goals.
