How to make a manual entry in a GoGreen cockpit

How Can We Improve This Article?

Some resources have the consumption values automatically imported into the GoGreen cockpit, while others require manual input.

How to make a manual edit

To make a manual entry, make sure that you are in the Doing section of the cockpit you wish to work in. We recommend having the category ‘All selected for ease of use.

The ‘Enter consumption’ button will turn from white to blue when there are outstanding entries to categories that are manually edited. This will happen on the 16th of each month if the previous month’s values have not yet been added.

Select the ‘Enter consumption’ button to open the pop-up where consumption values can be added or updated.

The pop-up gives a clear 12-month overview of the entries made per category for this cockpit and makes it easy to manage your consumption. As this data is actuals (not forecasts or targets) only past months and years have data.

View and edit data in the data table or export the data to excel to view offline.

View options

  1. Select the year you wish to review.
  2. Choose to enter the values by the month or year.
      • When ‘Year’ is selected, the value entered is distributed over all months for the selected year.
      • When ‘Month’ is selected, the value entered is distributed over the number of days in that month.
  3. Select the Unit of Measure to view or enter the values in (e.g. kWh or MWh in Energy cockpit).
  4. View the different categories per resource.
  5. Compare current year total with the annual total from the previous 3 years, using the drop-down to select each previous year.
  6. The manual edit icon indicates that the resource needs to be entered manually.
  7. The import icon indicates that the resource is automatically imported, and the cells are not editable.

You can change or correct a manual entry by entering a new value into PMI, using either the month or year option. Once all manual resources have been updated, press ‘Save’. This will allocate the monthly value to all days based on the Guest nights for that month.  If entering a year total, this is allocated to months and days based on the Guest nights.

Note that if entering Year values in the current year, it will only allocate in past months. Current and future months will not be updated.

Note: You should not edit or override imported values, but rather change the source data.

Missing manual entries

Cells that are highlighted in red indicate missing data. Missing data alerts are triggered if data for any month is not entered by the 16th of the following month, emphasizing the importance of regular data entries to ensure accuracy and completeness in environmental tracking.

If a resource has zero consumption for a month, the number zero (0) must still be entered in the cell.
