Summary

This view enables you to change and edit your personal information.

Intended Users

All PMI users.

Instructions

  1. You can edit your first name, middle name, last name, job title, email (username) and language in the User Information. You can also select Start View (your default landing view after login) as well as default property, if you are working for more than one property, (cluster position) i.e. more than one hotel. If you tick the “Redirect to last visited property” you will always login to your last entered property, only valid if you have access to more than one property.
For d2o users or users with access to multiple chains there is also an option to select what should be the landing page when logging in.
  2. The User Defined Group is an additional group within the Benchmarking View and Portfolio Perspective where you can select which properties should be included.
  3. You can change your password by entering the old one and the new one (with confirmation).

Recommendations

Due to security reasons, its recommended to change the password you receive from d2o at set up before using PMI.

Troubleshooting tips

This section provides additional troubleshooting advice for readers experiencing specific issues. While it’s packed with useful insights, you may skip it if you’re not facing any related problems.

SSO login

Single Sign-On (SSO) simplifies the login process by allowing you to access PMI with your organization’s credentials without needing a separate password for PMI. Here is how it works:

  1. Navigate to the PMI login page, there you should see an option for Single Sign-On or a similar SSO login button.
  2. Click that SSO button and you will likely be redirected to your organization’s standard login page.
  3. Enter your organization username and password as you usually do.

After successful authentication, you will be redirected back to PMI and logged into the system .

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Adds an additional layer of security by requiring users to provide a second form of verification (like a mobile app, SMS code, or biometrics) during the login process. Typically, MFA is enforced at the identity provider level (e.g., AAD) when users authenticate via SSO.

Password reset from the login page

How to Reset Your Password:
Resetting your password in PMI is straightforward. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to PMI and navigate to the Main Menu.
  2. Select Settings from the menu options.
  3. On the Settings page, locate the option to Change Password.
  4. Enter your current password, then type your new password, ensuring it meets the security requirements.
  5. Click Update to save your changes.

Your password will now be updated, and you can continue using PMI with your new credentials!

Password Requirements: PMI enforces strict password policies to ensure account security. Passwords must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Length: At least 8 characters.
  • Uppercase Letter: At least one uppercase letter (e.g., A).
  • Lowercase Letter: At least one lowercase letter (e.g., a).
  • Number: At least one numeric character (e.g., 1).
  • Special Character: At least one special character (e.g., @, #, $).
